What is FSSAI Registration?
FSSAI Registration is a compulsory approval required for any individual or business engaged in activities such as manufacturing, processing, storing, distributing, transporting, or selling food products in India. This registration is regulated under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, along with the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Regulations, 2011.

FSSAI Basic Registration
- Eligibility: Turnover below ₹12 lakh per annum
- Form: Form A
- Ideal For: Small vendors, petty retailers, home kitchens
Capacity Limits:
- Food production: Up to 100 kg/litre per day
- Milk handling: Up to 500 litres per day
- Slaughtering: Small-scale limits
- Transporters: Single vehicle
- Vending machines: Up to 12 machines
