FSSAI Registration is a compulsory approval required for any individual or business engaged in activities such as manufacturing, processing, storing, distributing, transporting, or selling food products in India. This registration is regulated under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, along with the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Regulations, 2011.
Depending on the turnover, scale, and nature of operations, food businesses must obtain either:
